Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of full-time, progressively responsible experience in administrative, program development or planning roles.
  • Experience in emergency management and coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the statewide emergency management program within the assigned district.
  • Plan, develop, and implement the state emergency management program and assist locals.
  • Direct, coordinate, and operate the Disaster District Emergency Operations Center during events.
  • Train district committee members in emergency operations and applicable laws.
  • Travel up to 40% and deploy for extended periods as needed.
