Job summary

BCIT & BCSSSD is seeking a reliable District Courier to provide timely pickup and delivery across all district locations. This role supports daily operations by ensuring the safe and efficient transport of mail, materials, equipment, and essential documents between schools, Administrative Offices, and service centers, on a predictable schedule.

The position requires a valid driver's license, a minimum of three years of safe driving, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the capacity to work

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of safe driving experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow assigned delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide pickup and delivery of internal mail to all district sites on an assigned schedule.
• Perform pre-delivery sorting, inspection, and determine appropriate routing for mail and packages.
• Deliver special packages, books, and school materials as needed.
• Assist Transportation, Facilities, and the School Business Administrator as assigned.
• Support business office functions, including banking-related tasks.
• Transport furniture and equipment between school locations.
• Assist maintenance and operations crews as needed.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when requested.
• Deliver Board of Education agendas and materials to board members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
