Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks a district-wide leader for school counseling and college and career readiness programs. You will guide the development and continuous improvement of counseling services across elementary to high schools, promoting student well-being and academic achievement.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in related field Required.
• Specialists Degree in related field Preferred.
• Doctoral Degree in related field Preferred.
• Georgia certification at the S-5 level in school counseling Required.
• Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educators Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of districtwide school counseling and college and career readiness programs.
• Establish consistent expectations for high-quality services across elementary, middle, and high schools; supervise central office counseling personnel.
• Collaborate with school leaders, counselors, district departments, and community partners to strengthen implementation and improve student outcomes.
• Develop a coherent K12 progression of student leadership experiences promoting student voice and leadership skills.
• Support equity in access to counseling services, academic pathways, and postsecondary opportunities.
