Job summary

Pitt County Schools in Greenville, NC is seeking a Specialized Programs Coordinator to provide district-level leadership, coordination, supervision, and support for services addressing the needs of students with disabilities.

You will oversee staff across VI, DHH, interpreters, adapted physical education, assistive technology, and other specialized programs, ensure program quality and compliance, develop professional development, and collaborate with schools and departments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required.
Appropriate North Carolina licensure/certification as required.
Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, or program coordination experience.
Experience providing professional development, training, or technical assistance.
Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Provide district-level leadership and coordination for specialized programs and services.
Oversee assigned specialized staff and services including VI, DHH, interpreters, Adapted Physical Education, music therapy, assistive technology, and other programs.
Monitor program implementation and service delivery and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with schools, EC staff, families, and district departments to address student needs.
Assist with staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, and program planning.
