• Ability to write, edit, proofread and prepare clear communications for diverse audiences.
• Excellent digital literacy and technical skills.
• Experience with social media platforms, digital newsletters, district communication systems.
• Establish a structured process for reviewing, prioritizing and publishing communications materials.
• Outreach to engage the community to highlight district stories and accomplishments.
• Collaborate with administrators and staff to ensure accurate, timely communications.
• Attention to detail and compliance with district policies.

Responsibilities

• Establish submission criteria and protocol with the superintendent.
• Create a calendar of special days for school year.
• Provide PR support to district based on criteria.
• Manage aspects of the district website.
• Develop submission and publication guidelines for district communications.
• Ensure a consistent publication process and approved content.
• Develop standards for district-wide vs school-level releases, website publication, and outreach.
• Maintain district websites and online platforms.
• Coordinate communications among Superintendent's Office and schools.
• Draft, edit, and coordinate press releases, stories, and newsletters.
• Identify opportunities to promote programs and achievements.
• Ensure communications align with district voice and policies.
• Submit newsworthy articles to city channels as needed.
