Job summary

Staffmark seeks an experienced civil engineer leader to oversee design and construction of district capital projects, including the Capital Improvement Program. This role coordinates with district teams and outside agencies under direction from the General Manager.

Responsibilities include supervising long-range planning, budgeting, and staff development, plus ensuring contract administration and engineering standards are met. Arizona PE licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with eight years of professional civil engineering experience.
• Minimum five years in supervisory or lead roles overseeing teams.
• Professional Engineer license in Arizona or ability to obtain promptly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and construction of capital projects for the District.
• Supervise capital improvement engineering activities and budgets.
• Coordinate with IT, Finance, and district teams; prepare SOPs and procurements.
• Prepare Board agenda items for capital projects and activities.
• Select, train, and evaluate staff; manage performance reviews.
• Coordinate Blue Stake and GIS program and external consultants.
