Job summary

Osseo Area Schools is seeking a District Behavior Specialist to support scholars with behavior and academic challenges in Maple Grove. The role collaborates with teachers, staff, and guardians to plan, implement, and monitor behavior strategies and IEP/Behavior Support Plans with fidelity.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, leading Tier 2/3 interventions, and providing professional learning across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• MN teaching license preferred; if not licensed, eligible to apply for Tier 2 license.
• Licensing information provided by MN Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).

Responsibilities

• Plan, guide, evaluate, and revise behavior support strategies to improve scholar outcomes.
• Consult with teachers, staff, administrators, and guardians to plan strategies.
• Observe scholars and classrooms to input on academic and behavioral plans.
• Coach staff in Behavior Support Plan implementation.
• Collaborate with district and site teams to provide professional learning.
