Job summary

Logan County School District inRussellville, KY seeks a District Behavior Coach to support students with behavioral challenges. This role reports to the Director of Pupil Personnel and runs through the 2026-2027 school year with full-time duties.

The coach will help teachers, counselors and parents apply strategies and practices that improve behavior, MTSS and PBIS implementation, and student social-emotional learning across classrooms.

Qualifications

• Valid Kentucky teacher certification OR Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field.
• Experience assisting students with behavioral challenges is beneficial.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, counselors and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Engage in professional development to enhance personal professional knowledge and skills.
• Support MTSS implementation in all tiers.
• Assist PBIS teams by screening students and developing interventions.
• Support social emotional learning as part of Tier 1 instruction.
• Provide coaching and professional development to staff in social-emotional learning and student behavior.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators and district leadership to address behaviors impeding learning.
• Lead professional development training as requested.
• Coordinate with community resources as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or designee.
