Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus two years as journeyman automotive mechanic in a standard shop.
• Or an equivalent combination of training and experience as described above.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on gasoline or diesel transportation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair district automotive equipment.
• Maintain current inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist Head Bus Mechanic to create efficient maintenance systems.
• Support safety and housekeeping standards in all work areas.
• Act in Head Mechanic's absence regarding work schedule for repairs.
• Advise Head Mechanic on requisitions for supplies and equipment.
