Larimer County District Attorney's Office is offering paid internships for law students in Loveland and Fort Collins. Spring 2026 seeks 2Ls/3Ls (or >60 credits); Summer 2026 targets rising 3Ls. Interns will draft motions, perform research, and assist during trials, with 10–15 hours weekly in spring and 30–40 hours weekly in summer.
Interns work 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday, with flexible scheduling during the school year.
The District Attorney's Office seeks law students interested in a paid internship with our office.
We will consider only individuals currently in law school.
Specifically, for SPRING 2026, we are looking for 2Ls or 3Ls (or those with more than 60 credit hours in law school), and for SUMMER 2026, we are looking for rising 3Ls.
As an intern, students will be drafting motions, doing research, and assisting during trials (as appropriate). Internships are available at both our Loveland and Fort Collins locations, at the County and District Court level. We anticipate hiring 2 for the Spring of 2027 (10-15 hours/week), and up to 4 for the Summer of 2027 (30-40 hours/week).
During the school year, we are flexible around class schedules, but will need interns to work during the 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday‑Friday work window. In the spring, an intern may work up to 20 hours per week. In the summer, an intern may work up to 40 hours per week.
For all temporary positions, sick leave and our Employee Assistance Program are available and other benefits may be available.
It is expected these employees will work full time, but in a temporary position will not be eligible for benefits other than accruing 1 hour of sick leave per 30 hours worked.
Our paid internships are for both those not yet eligible for student practice (less than 60 hours) and those who are eligible (more than 60 hours). Pay will depend on which category an applicant qualifies for. We expect interns to work 10-20 hour a week during the school year. Summer interns are expected to work at least 10 weeks.
