Compass Group USA's Canteen division in Asheville, NC seeks a District Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and vending, markets and refreshment services within the district. You will lead payroll, A/R/A/P, and financial reporting while supporting budgeting and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in business and at least two years in financial management, with SAP and MS Office proficiency and experience with audits and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred but not required.
• Two years financial management experience preferred.
• Audit compliance experience and financial documentation.

Responsibilities

• Handles day-to-day HR issues including payroll and benefits administration, training, and regulatory compliance staffing.
• Manages cash room and coordinates banking/armored car services
• Manages A/R and A/P processes
• Assists in weekly reporting production
• Provides financial perspective to district operations and cost-benefit analysis
• Manages period close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assists with forecast and budget modeling
• Interacts with internal and external auditors
• Supports DOT-related issues and building maintenance when needed

Job Summary

This is a Great Opportunity to join a great Company. As the District Accounting Manager you will be responsible for all accounting and vending, markets and refreshment services within the District Branch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handles the day-to-day HR issues including but not limited to managing payroll andbenefit administration, training, FMLA/Worker’s Comp issues, and regulatory compliance staffing.
• Manages cash room and coordinates banking/armored car services
• Manages A/R and A/P processes
• Assists in theproduction of weekly reporting
• Lends financial perspective to business issues facing district operation, including cost-benefit analysis
• Manages periodclose, ensure general ledger is accurately represented, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assists inanalyzing financial statements for areas of profit improvement, recommend action.
• Assists withforecast and budget modeling, evaluate what-if scenarios.
• Maintains internal controls within District operation.
• Interacts withinternal and external auditors.
• Provides assistance with DOT related issues/schedules.
• Provides assistance with building maintenance management as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business program (Accounting, Finance, Management, etc.) preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) andSAP.
• A minimum of twoyears financial management experience, preferred.
• Ability to trackand measure financial data and communicate information up and down.
• Audit compliance experience and financial documentation.
