Job summary

The Sherwood Companies in Tulsa, OK are seeking a Distributor Truck Operator to safely operate a distributor truck to apply asphalt bonding agents and support road projects. This hands-on role requires adherence to PPE and process requirements while maintaining logs and driving records.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must currently possess or be willing to acquire Class B CDL and Tanker Endorsement.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operation of distributor truck in accordance with state and federal laws
• Loading, securing and unloading trailer
• Maintain records, logs and inspections reports
• Report appropriate information regarding incidents and jobsites
• Perform ODOT pre and post trip inspections daily
• Perform the task of spraying asphalt bonding agents, prime oil, etc.
• Perform cleanings after each material application
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

The Sherwood Companies have a proven track record of completing a variety of projects from General Construction, to Construction Management and Design Build Projects for both public and private owners. A brief summary of the types of projects include, urban expressways, bridges, underground utilities, dam construction, asphalt/concrete paving and water/wastewater treatment plants.

Distributor Truck Operator (Transportation)

The employee will be responsible for the safe operation of a distributor truck to place asphalt bonding agents. The incumbent will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements. This role is classified as safety sensitive. Travel may be required.

Activities/Tasks/SCOPE
