Ergon Inc. in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania is seeking drivers responsible for operating commercial vehicles for transporting materials related to road construction. The role involves maintaining logs, conducting vehicle inspections, and assisting road crews as needed.
The candidates must hold a Commercial Driver's License and understand vehicle operation regulations. This position supports teamwork and may require work in varied environmental conditions, including extreme weather.
Drivers will be responsible for driving (operating, maneuvering, navigating) commercial vehicles for the purpose of transporting and distributing material and equipment related to road construction/ maintenance operations. To support the company value of teamwork, drivers will be expected to assist as laborers and operators on paving and or/chipping crews. Management may also direct drivers to assist on special assignments or projects.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to: Perform sedentary work, which includes sitting a majority of the time, yet occasionally exerting up to ten pounds of force. Work setting is primarily field based and conditions may involve limited exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, gases and other substances used in a construction environment. Must have the ability to see, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Operate standard office equipment including a computer, copier, fax, phone and other similar office equipment.
