Schmidt Construction part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Tack Truck Driver to work at our Castle Rock, CO location. The Tack Truck Driver operates tack truck with trailer for the purpose of transporting to and from locations and applying bond coat to pavement surfaces.

Pay: $28-35

Shift: Full Time Day Job w/ Nights and Weekends as needed

Responsibilities

The Tack Truck Driver will:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Check and maintaining fluid levels
• Maneuver vehicle to properly load, transport, and apply material
• Observe loading operation to ensure correct material, proper weight and proper distribution of material
• Get vehicle weighed and processing appropriate paperwork
• Write up or communicate repair requests to mechanics
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

• Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsement (Or ability to obtain)
• 2 Years of experience as a Tack Truck Driver
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements

• Lifts up to fifty (50) pounds
• Sits, stands, and walks for extended period of time
• Occasional pushing, pulling and/or prying
• Good visual acuity, depth perception and eye-hand coordination
• Able to detect differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness
• Operates motor vehicle
• Works in environment with noise and temperature variations
