Job description

Schmidt Construction, part of the Levy Group of Companies, is seeking a Tack Truck Driver to work at our Castle Rock, CO location. The Tack Truck Driver operates a tack truck with trailer for transporting materials to and from locations and applying bond coat to pavement surfaces.

Pay: $28-35

Shift: Full-time day job with nights and weekends as needed

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Check and maintain fluid levels
• Maneuver vehicle to load, transport, and apply material
• Ensure correct material, weight, and distribution during loading
• Get vehicle weighed and process paperwork
• Communicate repair requests to mechanics
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsement (or ability to obtain)
• 2 years of experience as a Tack Truck Driver
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

• Lifts up to 50 pounds
• Sits, stands, and walks for extended periods
• Occasional pushing, pulling, and prying
• Good visual acuity and eye-hand coordination
• Able to detect differences in sounds
• Operates motor vehicle
• Works in environments with noise and temperature variations
