You will perform cycle counts, label stock, pack shipments, and ensure safe handling of materials. The position requires basic arithmetic, knowledge of inventory practices, and the ability to read and interpret packing lists.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cataloging and inventory techniques.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving practices.
• Skill in basic arithmetic.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Position requires materials handling, stock control and packaging.
• Work involves moderate physical effort and standing/walking.
• Experience with motorized industrial trucks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, stocking, retrieving, shipping and inspecting inventory.
• Counts, sorts and checks in incoming inventory against requisitions, shipping notices or invoices.
• Ensure inventory is delivered to proper warehouse locations and keep areas neat.
• Conduct cycle counts and periodic audits to determine reordering needs.
• Place or change inventory bar code tags and labels on stock locations.
• Check picked inventory against invoices or purchase orders for accuracy.
• Pack and ship packages using appropriate boxes and packing materials.
