Job summary

NSK in Indiana is seeking a Distribution Unit Coordinator to supervise a warehouse team and ensure adherence to customer requirements and corporate policy.

You will direct daily activities, coordinate with 3rd party warehouses, maintain equipment and housekeeping, and communicate status across departments.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and 2–4 years of related experience; technical diplomas or an associate degree plus 4–6 years are preferred.

Purpose of Job

Provides a supervisory function and controls the operation of a warehouse department to ensure compliance with customer requirements and corporate policy.

Activities & Responsibilities

• Provides departmental supervision, ensures compliance with department and organizational procedures.
• Prioritizes and directs activities of the department to fulfill customer requirements.
• Ensures timely communication to other departments issues related to inventory and delivery.
• Ensure housekeeping activities are maintained and is responsible for facility and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinates activities at 3rd party warehouses and communicates status to other departments where applicable.
• Directs training of direct reports and maintains appropriate records.

Education & Experience Requirements

This job requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 to 4 years of position-related experience; the preferred formal education is a Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree and 4 to 6 years of position-related experience.

Management Responsibilities

This job has a primary responsibility and makes decisions required for managing the work of others.
