Job summary

SolPowerlines, LLC in New Orleans, LA is seeking a hands-on helper to support the construction and maintenance of power lines. The role involves varied manual tasks performed safely on job sites and in transit.

You'll assist with installation, keep tools organized, and help flag traffic while learning to operate light equipment. The position requires physical endurance and a readiness to work outdoors, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check, physical exam, and drug/alcohol testing.
• Willing to obtain CDL.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Willingness to work outdoors in variable weather.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual tasks in construction and maintenance of power lines.

• Clean up and organize job sites at completion of work.
• When aptitude is demonstrated and work allows, will receive training in the operation of some trucks, light equipment and tools.
• Will receive training in safety, first aid and other related topics.
• Willing to obtain CDL.
• Able / willing to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Able / willing to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
• Able / willing to lift in excess of 50 lbs., when required.
• Able / willing to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.
• Able / willing to work Overtime, when required.
