Job summary

Midstate Electric Cooperative is seeking a Distribution Technician II to design, stake, and estimate new and upgraded electric distribution services and system improvements. This role gathers field data, prepares construction drawings, staking sheets, right-of-way documents, surveys, and cost estimates.

You will coordinate projects with members, developers, contractors, engineers, and government agencies, and support long-range infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a Certified Distribution Technician.
• Strong knowledge of utility, state, & federal construction practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, IVC Staking, and MapWise.
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
• The successful candidate must reside within a 45-minute drive of Midstate’s headquarters.
• This is an hourly, non-exempt position represented by IBEW Local 125.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate must reside within a 45-minute drive of Midstate’s headquarters.
• This is an hourly, non-exempt position represented by IBEW Local 125 and may require flexible hours and overtime.

This position is an Hourly/Union.

Hourly Salary: $63.72, per CBA
