TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Technician to inspect power distribution poles and support our clients in the North Carolina region. You will design, prepare, and document construction orders for overhead and underground facilities, supporting load studies and field data collection.

The role requires a high school graduate with 2 years of utility/field tech experience; valid driver's license; and ability to travel regionally. NESC familiarity and MS Office proficiency are preferred.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and software applications desired (MS Office products) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design and prepare construction orders related to overhead/underground facilities for electric distribution systems.
• Prepare layouts of overhead and/or underground electric distribution facilities using client standards.
• Prepare design sketches, cost estimates, BOMs and reports for construction and maintenance projects.
• Assist in load studies on distribution transformers and investigate voltage issues to determine corrective action.
• Negotiate rights of way with landowners and obtain necessary information for easement processing.
• Submit required reports and correspondence and assist in field data acquisition.
• Digitize, copy and scan drawings, prints and maps; track design activities in systems.
