Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years Electric Utility or telecommunications field experience preferred.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications desired.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• AutoCAD / PLS CADD or similar programs preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; ability to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of electric and natural gas distribution systems.
• Collect field data and prepare notes, drawings, specifications, and estimates.
• Acquire knowledge of NESC and engineering standards.
• Maintain production and quality of projects and manage files.
• Prepare and modify drawings, calculations, charts, and construction packages.
• Perform field technical services and pole inspections.
• Use devices to collect data input into databases.
