Job summary

Focus: HOPE is seeking a Distribution Technician to support the Food Center. This role involves unloading and loading trucks, preparing boxes, and moving stock under supervision. You will work as part of a dedicated team serving the community.

The position requires bilingual English/Arabic, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Driving a Hilo and related certification are preferred. This is a non-exempt role with stable hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Arabic required (verbal).
• Proficient in MS Office Suite including Outlook.
• Ability to interact with others in a professional, courteous manner.
• Strong commitment to civil and human rights.
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Good knowledge of general warehouse duties and lifting procedures.
• Certification for driving Hilo or ability to attest certification.
• Oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and boxcars.
• Open food boxes using box cutters.
• Drive Hilo to move stock from storage to the distribution area.
• Stock distribution area as needed.
• Pack food boxes at checkout counter.
• Build prepackaged boxes for seniors.
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
