Aqua America, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Technician to support the operation and maintenance of water distribution facilities. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, operating water distribution systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma, a valid U.S. driver's license, and a Commercial Driver's License within the specified timeframe. The position requires excellent communication and customer service skills, and the pay range is $22.30 – $37.15/hr based on experience.
The Distribution Technician performs a variety of activities to support the operation, maintenance, repair and construction of water distribution facilities. These duties include all work, in compliance with Company and regulatory requirements, associated with service of distribution system piping, hydrants, valves, customer services, booster stations, and all other components related to a distribution system.
May be subject to extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical, electrical, gas exposure hazards, fumes, dusts, mists, gases and/or poor ventilation atmospheric conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Working conditions may include travel to work sites of Essential Utilities and/or other constituents (if applicable). Must be available to be on call nights and on weekends to adequately staff a 24 hour/7-day operation. Overtime required.
$22.30 - $37.15/hr dependent upon experience and licensure.
