Job summary

nVent is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to lead and optimize distribution center operations in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes inventory control, outbound processing, and team leadership to ensure accurate shipping and continuous improvement.

You will guide a team, participate in hiring and training, and collaborate cross-functionally to meet metrics and safety standards. This position is based in New Berlin, WI.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience preferred: experience having led teams or projects.
  • Experience with distribution processes: Inventory, Receiving, Picking, Packing, and/or Shipping.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and electronically.
  • Must be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, stand/bend/stoop for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of distribution processes, inventory control, lean manufacturing/continuous Improvement concepts & ERP/WMS systems.
  • Proven ability to use resourcefulness and initiative to make decisions and take actions to insure timely and accurate shipping to all customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to lift documents/work materials up to 70 pounds in weight.
  • Must be able to operate all material handling equipment.

Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, this position significantly contributes to nVent's financial performance by performing various tasks related to the distribution function with a focus on Inventory and Outbound while also providing leadership to other associates. By leveraging continuous improvement, effective project management, and leadership skills, this position will help nVent deliver "best in class" results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
