Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a Distribution System Operating Supervisor to direct field personnel operating the subtransmission and distribution system, ensuring safe, cost-effective electric service and rapid restoration for customers.

The DSOS role requires steering crews, analyzing loads, issuing switching orders, and maintaining records while working rotating shifts and participating in storm response. A BS degree is preferred with relevant experience; SO/PD II test is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two+ years of relevant experience in distribution systems, dispatch, or electric operations.
• Pass the SO/PD II Test is required.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and direct field personnel during distribution emergencies.
• Issue and monitor Workmen's Protection Assurance for the electric system.
• Direct field personnel in the safe, reliable operation of distribution systems.
• Coordinate maintenance and restoration activities on subtransmission and distribution systems.
• Write and dispatch switching orders and analyze loads and equipment ratings.
• Restore outages safely and promptly using information from multiple sources.
