American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Contract Coordination professional to oversee contractor work on electrical facilities and to lead and support the Contract Coordination Group. The role focuses on leadership, inspection of contractor activity for safety and quality, and ensuring smooth project flow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with a technical degree or equivalent distribution construction experience, valid driver's license, and a proven leadership capability

• Thorough knowledge of distribution work processes, procedures and safety standards.
• Minimum two years' experience as a Distribution System Inspector or equivalent related experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving safety record.
• Physical demand level is Sedentary.
• Top step of progression in job family, typically reserved for proven leaders who can multi-task and manage multiple duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary

This position takes a lead role in overseeing work performed by contractors on AEP electrical facilities. They will also provide leadership and support as needed within the Contract Coordination Group.

Compensation Grade: SP20-007

Compensation Range: $87,633.00 - $128,689.00

Physical Demand Level

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
