Job summary

R.E. Michel Company in Durham, NC is seeking a Distribution Support 3 to support inventory, movement, and shipping preparation in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Under direct supervision, the DS3 will handle receiving, stocking, picking, labeling, and staging goods while ensuring accuracy and safety. Opportunities include cross-training and consistent weekend/work hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations or distribution is preferred.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds repetitively.
• Must be 18 years of age to operate a forklift.
• Basic arithmetic and reading comprehension required.
• Willingness to start work at designated shift time.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate manual and powered material handling equipment as certified.
• Receive, stock, pick and load bulk equipment for shipping.
• Pull customer orders and stage items for delivery or pickup.
• Prepare products for stocking and shipment with proper verification.
• Load/unload products and ensure secure stacking and storage.
• Verify incoming orders and report discrepancies or safety issues.
• Utilize information systems for inventory control, receiving, stowage and shipping.
• Cross-train in other departmental activities as directed by supervisor.
• Ensure all outgoing product is billed and accounted for.
