Job summary

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Distribution Supervisor to oversee the Retail Transportation System across Pennsylvania and North Central West Virginia. You will lead logistics staff, plan routes, manage schedules, and ensure timely pickup and delivery of donated and purchased merchandise.

The role requires 4+ years of related experience with a high school diploma or an associate degree, along with DOT physicals and background clearances.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/equivalent with 4+ years of experience.
• Associates Degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in operations management specific to warehousing or distribution; supervisory experience preferred.
• DOT Physical and 33/34 Clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation, operations and production goals.
• Direct and supervise employees including assignment of employees to specific tasks, as needed.
• Maintain a current and up-to-date understanding of and comply with all organization policies and procedures.
• Review material orders, production schedules, shipping and receiving records and forms to determine workflow requirements, shipping dates, and destinations.
• Assist with the hiring, training, evaluation, coaching, and the support of the development of employees in logistics operations.

This position is responsible for supervising all aspects of the Retail Transportation System in both Pennsylvania and North Central West Virginia by assisting District Managers and Store Manages with transportation and distribution of donated and purchased merchandise by insuring proper and timely pick-up and delivery of materials. Provide leadership and direction to staff and assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to promote and maintain safety.

Duties will also include but are not limited to:

Travel Required: Yes, some travel may be required.

External Hiring Range: $21.00-$25.00/hour

Qualifications:

• High School diploma/equivalent with 4+ years of experience
• Associates Degree with 2+ years of experience
  • Experience can be a combination of operations management specific to warehousing or distribution, inventory management specific to supply chain or retail stores, or process optimization in any organizational operational role. Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
