Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Superintendent in Dalton, GA. The role leads a salaried leadership team and drives safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across distribution operations.

The candidate will develop workforce plans, coordinate with Sales and Customer Service for demand planning, and ensure documentation and compliance with transportation regulations. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree or HS diploma with supervisory experience.
• 3+ years of distribution experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and related software systems.
• Willingness to travel to regional warehouse locations.
• Knowledge of DOT compliance and transportation regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the salaried leadership team to strengthen performance and achieve operational and business goals.
• Develop and execute workforce plans to ensure appropriate staffing levels and operational efficiency across the facility.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure customer demand is met through effective production planning and execution.
• Partner with the second-shift supervisor to ensure production and shipping schedules are met, customer delivery commitments are achieved, and products are accurately loaded for distribution.
• Work cross-functionally with EHS and Engineering to proactively address safety concerns, equipment challenges, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree and 1+ year of Supervisory experience or High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of previous Supervisory experience
• 3+ years previous Distribution experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through written correspondence, presentations, and interpersonal interactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and other business-related software systems.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proven ability to drive performance, execute priorities, and achieve business objectives.
• Willingness and ability to travel to regional warehouse locations as needed.
• Proven track record of proactively identifying opportunities and achieving measurable results.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance and transportation regulations preferred.
