Job summary

Staff Management | SMX in Lafayette, IN is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily automotive production and warehouse operations. You will supervise shift teams, schedule resources, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role features 2nd shift, Monday–Friday 4:00 PM–1:30 AM with mandatory Saturdays as needed. Benefits include weekly pay, medical/dental insurance, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly line, automotive, or warehouse operations
• Knowledge of SOP, MRP, TQM, Kaizen, 5S, and visual management principles
• Strong Microsoft Office and database skills
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Supervise and support department employees daily.

• Train, coach, and develop employees, including ride-along evaluations and certifications.
• Conduct audits to ensure SOP compliance and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate vehicle processing and shipments.
• Handle employee relations matters, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
• Investigate accidents and complete corrective actions as needed.
• Review and approve timekeeping in Kronos.
• Maintain safety, productivity, and efficiency standards.
• Communicate effectively with management, HR, quality teams, and customers.

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in a fast-paced automotive production and warehouse environment. This role is responsible for supervising employees, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met, maintaining workplace safety, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 1:30 AM, with mandatory Saturdays as needed based on customer demand.

Position Requirements:

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience with a strong employee relations background.

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly line, automotive, or warehouse operations.

• Knowledge of SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual management principles.

• Strong Microsoft Office and database skills.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, kneel, climb, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift.

Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 50 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.
