Overview

Our Power Delivery group is seeking a Distribution Planning Engineer. Responsibilities include problem identification and resolution on design projects, developing technical system planning work scopes, and more. • Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta)
• Tampa, FL
• Pensacola, FL
• Charlotte, NC

Responsibilities

This role focuses on identifying and resolving issues in distribution design projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• System analysis and planning using software like Windmil, CYME, or Synergi
• Modeling electrical distribution equipment such as fuses and reclosers
• Reviewing planning and design outputs for quality
• Developing technical work scopes
• Upholding best practices in distribution system planning and design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (or similar), or equivalent experience
• PE certification highly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of Power Delivery experience
• Proficiency with Windmil, CYME, and/or Synergi software
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution system planning and design standards, practices, and regulations
• Proficiency with Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 20-25%
