As a Distribution Manager at BMC Software, you will play a crucial role in managing distribution channels and enhancing the overall distribution growth strategy. You will implement and enforce annual partnership agreements and contracts to achieve 1-3 year plans. Critical skills include forecasting accuracy, data entry, reporting, planning, and pipeline management. This is a remote position requiring some travel within the US.

Here is how you will contribute to BMC's and your own success through this exciting role:

  • Manage the distribution sales partners in the US region.
  • Ensure the distributor forecast, projects, and contacts are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain and modify distribution channel partnerships to achieve results.
  • Implement distribution performance and improvement plans where necessary.
  • Create and implement growth strategies with internal management and distribution partners.
  • Provide progressive 1 & 3-year plans for distribution partners.
  • Coordinate technical development with distribution partners.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors.
  • Ensure effective communication to maximize sales and profit results.
  • Communicate market intelligence that may affect competitiveness.
  • Participate in or organize joint participation at trade shows and exhibitions with partners.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of internal information, including customer calls, expenses, itineraries, and monthly reports.

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the software industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
  • Knowledge and experience in the distribution business model and sales process.
  • Excellent communication and social skills.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of BMC's salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on various factors, including skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs.

This range is one component of BMC's total compensation package, which may include a variable plan and country-specific benefits.

Typically, individuals are not hired at or near the top of the salary range. Compensation includes a base salary and variable pay. The base salary range is $ - $, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $ - $.
