Job summary

The AMES Companies, Inc. in Reno, NV is seeking a Distribution Operator 4 - Trainer to operate forklifts and related equipment, moving and counting products in accordance with production standards.

You will cross-train across all core distribution functions, maintain safety, and work on-site to support unloading, picking, replenishment, and shipping activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least two of the three stand up forklift certifications (walkie rider, pacer and/or reach truck).
• RF scanning device experience and/or training or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must pass and maintain industrial lift truck certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, electric pallet jack, reach truck and other equipment to move, locate, stock and count merchandise.
• Cross train in core distribution functions including unloading, put away, picking, replenishing, loading, returns, and display building.
• Maintain handheld terminals and ensure data entry is accurate and timely.
• Schedule inbound/outbound carrier appointments and document discrepancies.
• Prepare shipping/receiving documents accurately and promptly.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
