Job summary

The AMES Companies' Reno, NV facility is seeking a Distribution Operator 4 - Trainer. This on-site role involves operating forklifts and hand-held devices to move, count, and stock merchandise, with cross-training across distribution functions.

Hours are 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday through Friday. You will support unloading, picking, replenishment, and related tasks, emphasizing accuracy, safety, and timely data entry.

Qualifications

• Two of the three stand-up forklift certifications required (walkie rider, pacer, or reach truck).
• RF scanning device experience and/or training or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform Distribution Operator 4/Trainer duties and core distribution tasks: partial/full picking, loading, unloading, replenishment and put away.
• Maintain hand-held terminals and ensure they are charged and updated.
• Record receiving/shipping data and counts; investigate mis-picks.
• Prepare shipping/receiving docs accurately and on time.
• Schedule inbound/outbound carrier appointments.
• Document discrepancies with paperwork and notify supervisor.
• Utilize strong computer skills; multitask and communicate well.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE as required.
