Job summary

Conn Selmer, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Operator to ensure timely loading, packing, and shipping of goods. You will work in our warehouse handling inventory, operating forklifts, and preparing outbound documentation.

The role requires basic math, attention to detail, able to lift up to 70 lbs with assistance, and ability to work independently or in a team. Prior warehouse experience preferred; high school diploma or GED desired but not required.

• Excellent attendance required.
• Experience with pallet jackets, tape dispensers, or utility knives is a plus.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

• Light computer/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods and supplies, ensuring proper handling.

Job Title: Distribution Operator

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Timely delivery of material and products to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

1. Loading and unloading of goods and supplies, always ensuring proper handling.
2. Ensure the neatness and proper stocking of inventory in assigned locations.
3. Proper picking, packing, and preparing of accessory orders for shipment.
4. Prepare appropriate documentation for outbound shipments.
5. Operate all types of forklifts in compliance with all company safety regulations.
6. Operate the Shipping Management system and load small parcel carrier trucks.
7. Perform cycle counting of inventory.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred but not required.
2. A minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
3. Excellent attendance is required
4. Previous experience with pallet jackets, tape dispensers, utility knives is a plus
5. Ability to work independently or in a team environment with co-workers
6. Strong attention to detail
7. Possess basic math skills with ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply
8. Light computer/data entry experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching with hands and arms.
2. Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
3. Visual and hearing acuity.
4. Requires ability to frequently lift 35 lbs or less unassisted; occasionally lift 36 – 70 lbs with assistance, if needed; lifting greater than 70 lbs requires assistance.
5. Warehouse environment with exposure to dust.
