Job summary

CooperVision, a business unit of CooperCompanies, seeks a Distribution/Logistics Manager to oversee a 250k sq ft automated facility in Henrietta, NY. You will lead daily operations, optimize processes, and partner with logistics to exceed customer expectations.

You will drive talent development, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with GMP/SOP/ISO standards while advancing continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and distribution workflows.
• Proven ability to develop performance metrics and drive lean improvements.
• Ability to lead exempt and non-exempt employees.
• PM/project management experience is a plus.
• FDA/ISO regulated environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor staff performance to ensure smooth workflow in a highly automated facility.
• Ensure adherence to Good Distribution Practices, SOPs, and ISO requirements; keep SOPs updated.
• Oversee talent management, including hiring, performance reviews and development.
• Maintain staffing levels to meet customer expectations and budgets.
• Create and optimize distribution workflows for inventory integrity and planning.
• Perform cost analysis and ROI assessments for improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve distribution issues.
• Apply Lean tools (VSM, 5S, Gemba) to drive improvements and cost reductions.
• Lead cross-functional projects to implement process enhancements.
• Contribute to data collection for distribution trends and cost efficiency.
• Communicate day-to-day activities to management and resolve issues promptly.
• Develop productivity metrics to drive performance and customer satisfaction.
• Provide reporting on productivity to upper management; drive continuous improvement.
• Manage carrier relationships and support negotiations; assist in budgeting and P&L.
