Job summary

FLANDERS is seeking a Distribution Operations Manager to lead the daily execution of motors, drives and electrical products across the distribution business. You will own the end-to-end process from customer inquiry through quotation, purchasing coordination, delivery, invoicing and order closure.

This role requires proven people leadership, cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Shipping and Finance, and a focus on improving operational performance

Qualifications

• Five or more years in industrial distribution, purchasing, inside sales, quoting or related operations, including demonstrated people leadership and performance management.
• Experience managing quoting, customer orders, purchasing coordination and fulfillment in an industrial or technical product environment.
• Working knowledge of motors, drives and related electrical products; ability to interpret specifications, vendor quotations and pricing.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, train employees, manage competing priorities and resolve issues across departments.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency with ERP systems, Excel and business reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise distribution employees, establish expectations and manage daily workload, coverage and priorities.
• Own the Distribution workflow with assigned personnel, due dates and next actions; maintain visibility into opportunities, quotations and orders.
• Verify quote accuracy, pricing approvals and ensure timely status updates to customers.
• Coordinate purchasing requirements and BOMs through Procurement; track vendor lead times and pricing changes.
• Provide motor and related electrical product guidance and ensure correct products are quoted and purchased.
• Oversee order fulfillment, delivery coordination and invoicing through to order closure.
• Manage backlog accuracy and provide invoicing forecasts; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
