Job summary

Feast & Fettle seeks a Distributions Operations Lead to join our Operations team in Elkridge, MD. This onsite role runs Saturday through Wednesday and leads the Maryland distribution team to ensure timely deliveries and operational excellence.

As a senior operations leader reporting to the VP of Distribution Operations, you will coach Supervisors, strengthen processes, and partner with Culinary Operations, People Operations, and Member Services to scale growth while upholding culture and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading front-line teams and Supervisors.
• Experience scaling a site with headcount and daily volume.
• Experience in distribution, fulfillment, warehouse, or logistics operations.

Responsibilities

Job description

Feast & Fettle is seeking a Distributions Operations Lead to join our Operations team. This is an onsite role based in Elkridge, MD with a Saturday - Wednesday work week. Shift time will vary to align with business needs.

We're looking for a seasoned, people-first leader to be the senior operational leader on site: the person who builds and develops the team that keeps that promise every delivery day. This is a leadership seat, not a coordination role. Leading a site of roughly 25 team members today, but growing quickly. Reporting to the VP of Distribution Operations, this person will partner closely with our team up and down the east coast.

What You’ll Do

Team growth, leadership, and development

• Own the health, growth, and performance of the Maryland team
• Coach and develop your Supervisors, build their skills, guide their growth, and give them room to lead with confidence
• Act as the escalation point for on-floor issues and drive them to fast, sound resolution
• Work with the People Team to hire, onboard, and ramp new team members, and build the onboarding and training that let the team grow without losing quality or culture

Operational reliability and change leadership

• Ensure each shift is staffed, trained, and equipped for the expected order volume
• Partner with leadership to implement process improvements that improve efficiencies without compromising quality, safety, or team sustainability
• Use data to catch and correct problems before they reach a Member
• Plan and roll out process changes and pilots, earning buy-in at the associate level so improvements stick.

Cross-functional partnership

• Build strong working relationships across Culinary Operations, People Operations, and Member Services
• Coordinate daily delivery-day workflow with the Culinary team and peers at all of our fulfillment centers
• Partner with other departmental leads to ensure company-wide initiatives are executed effectively across Distribution Operations

Turning metrics into goals

• Ensure departmental plans align with Feast & Fettle priorities, operational capacity, and cross-functional dependencies
• You'll translate site-wide KPIs into clear goals for each Supervisor and track progress through regular 1:1s and huddles, so every front-line leader knows the target and where they stand against it.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of leading and developing people and front-line leaders. You've grown Supervisors or team leads, built or stabilized a team, and can name specific people whose careers you helped move forward.
• Experience growing a team quickly, hiring and onboarding at volume and putting the training and shift structures in place that let a site scale without quality or culture slipping.
• Real experience running distribution, fulfillment, warehouse, or logistics operations at a site with meaningful headcount and daily volume.
• Comfort working across reporting lines and at a distance, influencing people who don't report to you and running a site using your own judgment, with a good sense of when to escape.
• Fluency with operational metrics. You can read a dashboard, find the real bottleneck, and turn numbers into goals your team understands.
• The maturity to lead both tenured and newer team members, and to hold people accountable with fairness and care.
• Someone who can travel periodic to our other facilities in RI + NY for onboarding and quarterly team meetings
