Job summary

Wausau Supply Company is seeking a Distribution Material Handler to support our warehouse operations. You will pick and pack orders, ensure proper loading, and maintain paperwork accuracy for shipments, while upholding safety standards.

The role requires ability to operate material handling equipment and work as part of a team to keep the distribution center running smoothly. Training is provided where noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Warehouse hand-held ERP technology experience a plus; training will be provided.
• Forklift certification or prior warehouse experience a plus; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Pick and pack to ensure orders are correctly prepared for shipping.
• Ensure orders load correctly on trailers and paperwork is complete for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and participate in required trainings.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklift, RF unit) and move products interdepartmentally.
• Collaborate with team to achieve department and company goals.
• Perform additional duties to support warehouse operations.

What This Role Will Be Doing

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principals of safety
• Pick and pack to ensure all orders are pulled and packaged properly to be loaded
• Ensure all orders are loaded properly on the correct trailer and all the paperwork is complete so the orders can ship
• Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings
• Sort and move product interdepartmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, RF unit (hand-held), etc.
• Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort
• Perform other duties assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or company mission

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Warehouse hand-held ERP technology experience a plus but not required - training will be provided
• Forklift certification/prior warehouse experience a plus but not required – training will be provided

Working Demands / Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time

Reports to: Distribution Manager/ Assistant Distribution Manager/ Supervisor
