Job summary

Wausau Supply Company in Schofield, WI is seeking a Distribution Material Handler to support safe order picking, packing, and shipping. The role involves loading cargo, maintaining inventory integrity, and using material handling equipment in a fast-paced distribution setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely pick and pack orders to ensure correct items are loaded.
• Load orders on the correct trailer and complete paperwork for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and participate in safety trainings.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklift, RF unit) as needed.
• Support team and contribute to department and company mission.

What This Role Will Be Doing

Duties to include, but not limited to

• Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principals of safety
• Pick and pack to ensure all orders are pulled and packaged properly to be loaded
• Ensure all orders are loaded properly on the correct trailer and all the paperwork is complete so the orders can ship
• Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings
• Sort and move product interdepartmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, RF unit (hand-held), etc.
• Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort
• Perform other duties assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or company mission

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Warehouse hand-held ERP technology experience a plus but not required - training will be provided
• Forklift certification/prior warehouse experience a plus but not required - training will be provided

Working Demands / Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time
