Job summary

Wausau Supply Company is seeking a Distribution Material Handler in West Branch, IA. This non-exempt full-time role focuses on safe handling, accurate picking/packing, and proper loading of orders for shipment, with emphasis on maintaining inventory integrity and supporting a collaborative warehouse environment.

The position requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds, operate forklifts and RF devices, and participate in ongoing safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Warehouse ERP experience a plus but training provided.
• Forklift certification or prior warehouse experience a plus, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Safety principles must be demonstrated and followed.
• Pick and pack to ensure orders are accurate and properly packed.
• Load orders on correct trailers with completed paperwork for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and participate in safety trainings.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklift, RF unit, etc.).
• Support team objectives and contribute to department success.
• Perform other duties to support operations and company mission.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING:

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principals of safety
• Pick and pack to ensure all orders are pulled and packaged properly to be loaded
• Ensure all orders are loaded properly on the correct trailer and all the paperwork is complete so the orders can ship
• Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings
• Sort and move product interdepartmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, RF unit (hand-held), etc.
• Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort
• Perform other duties assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or company mission

Education / Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Warehouse hand-held ERP technology experience a plus but not required - training will be provided
• Forklift certification/prior warehouse experience a plus but not required – training will be provided

Working Demands / Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time
