Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Shelby, OH is seeking a focused machine operator for an on-site role. You will follow safety standards, monitor and adjust machines for different functions, and perform basic preventative maintenance to avoid downtime.

You will verify carton contents, optimize packing layouts to reduce shipping costs, and maintain hourly output records. Training new operators and supporting 6S housekeeping are part of the job, with overtime as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Follow all company policies and general plant rules (GPR’s) as outlined in the handbook.
• Maintain and monitor machine to make sure it functions properly.
• Understand each machines mechanical and system set-up; can adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance and recognize potential issues to avoid downtime.
• Verify the completeness of carton contents and assure carton/bags meets quality standards.
• Place carton contents in most efficient spatial arrangement to minimize shipping costs.
• Maintain and track machine output by hour.
• Able to train new operators on machine operations and responsibilities.
• Responsible for daily 6S activities, such as organization and safety, housekeeping, verifying adequate materials and supplies are available.
• Work assigned overtime when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
