Job summary

  • Inspect and test distribution line tools and equipment.
  • Promote safety programs and assist crews with work area protection and ground worker safety.
  • Support service restoration activities and other duties as assigned.

Job Description
What You'll Do
  • Investigate damage complaints and prepare reports detailing findings and make recommendations to resolve complaints.
  • The damage complaints may include but not be limited to service quality, high or low voltage, landscape damage caused by company equipment or personnel, etc.
  • Assist with prechecking jobs, customer contacts, work with stores, distribution crews and applicable supervision to secure and provide the necessary tools and equipment for the crew personnel.
  • Support technical training needs when requested and coordinate training with technical trainers if needed. Conduct distribution line training as needed.
  • Inspect and test distribution line tools and equipment.
  • Promote and enforce the Company's Accident Prevention, Safety and Health Programs, and assist line crews on jobs as required for work area protection and ground worker assistance.
  • Support service restoration activities and assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Note: This position is posted at multiple grade levels and offers a range of opportunity for advancement. The minimal qualifications outlined below apply to the Distribution Line Coordinator-Underground Line Facilities, with increased educational, skill, experience and certification requirements for higher level Distribution Line Coordinator Sr. - Underground Line Facilities.
