Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC on the west side of Indy is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead for 2nd shift. You will organize and delegate daily DC tasks, supervise staff, and support safety-first operations while meeting delivery goals.

The role requires 1–4 years of warehouse experience, strong leadership, and the ability to train and coach a team. Starting pay is $18.00–$21.00 per hour, with full-time hours and potential overtime based on volume.

• Requisite skills to train and coach a team with a focus on safety, quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes department objective through effective Tier leadership and communication of the job operational expectations.
• Fosters an environment and culture with safety at the forefront.
• Maintains quality by monitoring and appraising systems and procedures making recommendations for improvement as necessary.
• Assists in the development and administration of training plans for area.
• Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within the team.
• Completes objectives by delegating job responsibilities to DC personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress, and reporting results to the Warehouse Supervisor
• Escalates observed employee relations issues or concerns to Warehouse Supervisor
• Ensures daily operation of equipment is done by trained/authorized personnel and is properly maintained.
• Verification of purchase orders, staging locations, case pack quantities, and other product data information prior to receiving, picking, and loading merchandise.
• Maintain work quality by ensuring SOP?s, are adhered, 5s standards are followed, and all quality concerns are communicated directly to Warehouse Supervisor.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Spherion has team lead position available on the west side of Indy.

Purpose: Organizes warehouse activities through delegation of operational tasks to team members. Assistance in overseeing the execution and planning of DC projects. Leading with a safety focus and positive outlook, encouraging team members, and assisting on the floor as staffing dictates.

2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs 4pm-1am, Friday 4pm-8pm

Starting Pay: $18.00-$21.00/hour , based on experience

Working hours: 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM
