Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a Distribution Network Planning Engineer to join the Electric Distribution Grid Planning organization. This role will identify, evaluate, and develop solutions to address distribution system reliability, capacity, resilience, and operational challenges, performing technical studies and proposing system improvements.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two teleworking days, and opportunities to influence long-range planning, DER

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in progress.
• 5+ years of experience in distribution planning, grid modernization, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Perform distribution system planning studies for current and future capacity and reliability.
• Develop planning recommendations for substation expansions and feeder improvements.
• Lead coordination with Design, Operations, and external stakeholders on projects.
