Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative is seeking a Distribution Manager to oversee daily transportation operations and lead a team of 30+ drivers, ensuring safe, timely deliveries across our dairy distribution network. This role serves as the operational link between drivers, customers, and cross-functional partners.

You will manage routing, scheduling, and fleet maintenance while enforcing DOT/FMCSA regulations and driving cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field preferred; high school diploma with extensive experience accepted.
• 5-10 years of transportation, logistics, or fleet operations experience.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation operations and a team of 30+ drivers, Route Supervisor and Route Coordinator; set priorities and manage outbound distribution.
• Monitor route execution and respond to delivery exceptions and supply disruptions.
• Manage routing, scheduling, and fleet operations to ensure timely, efficient deliveries.
• Ensure KPI targets for route and fleet performance are met (on-time delivery, cost per mile, etc.).
• Oversee dispatching, load assignments, and issue resolution; review time records and shift reports.
