Job description

SELECT Power Systems is looking for both Distribution Designers and Distribution Engineers for overhead and underground distribution work with several clients in the utility industry all over the U.S. This position can be remote and will remain so indefinitely. Must have two years of previous experience working as a distribution designer or engineer in the utility industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide design / engineering services for overhead and underground electrical distribution lines from meter to substation
• Generate engineering drawings using AutoCAD
• Troubleshoot distribution lines, switches and relays to identify and solve issues
• Carry out projects according to schedule and budget
• Communicate project status to various internal and external parties

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years of electrical distribution design experience
• For designers, an associate's degree is desired but not necessary as long as you have 5+ years of experience
• For engineers, a bachelor's degree is needed, and having an EIT or PE would be a bonus
• Experienced user of AutoCAD
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Good organization skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
