Job summary

Stone Peak Recruiting seeks a Distribution Engineer in Portland, OR to design and operate utility distribution systems and to lead teams of engineers and drafters. The role involves client interaction, proposals, budgets, and travel, with a focus on overhead and underground systems from 4 kV to 35 kV.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in Engineering, with PE licensure or eligibility, and strong knowledge of distribution design and operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, ideally Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical.
• Registered PE or ability to obtain prior to starting.
• Strong knowledge and experience of the design and operation of overhead and underground distribution lines.

Responsibilities

• Design and operation of utility distribution systems within a utility’s distribution departments.
• Engineering and design for overhead and underground systems in varying electrical and environment conditions (4 kV through 35 kV).
• Ability to directly and professionally interact with clients in a positive manner.
• Lead and mentor other engineers and drafters to complete projects effectively.
• Assisting with proposals, budgets, and schedules as needed.
• Periodic Travel.
