Job summary

Story Cannabis is hiring a Distribution Associate/Driver in Maryland to deliver items safely and timely to clients and businesses. You will review orders for completeness and ensure accurate charges, while maintaining compliance with state rules.

Responsibilities include loading the van, maintaining the vehicle, handling delivery documents, and sustaining good relationships with dispensaries. A clean driving record and eligibility for cannabis badges are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior inventory experience preferred.
• Clean driving record and valid license required.
• Must be 21+ and able to obtain cannabis state badges.

Responsibilities

• Load delivery van at start of day for multiple deliveries.
• Interpret and follow state cannabis delivery regulations.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks as needed.
• Manage delivery documents and return manifests completed.
• Maintain positive relationships with dispensary staff.
• Communicate promptly when issues arise during deliveries.
• Keep accurate daily records of orders fulfilled and deliveries.
• Perform order fulfillment and delivery duties.
• Audit incoming and outgoing inventory.

Overview:

The Distribution Associate/Driver will work to deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner. This person will be responsible for reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.

Responsibilities:

• Load the delivery van at the beginning of the day for deliveries that will happen throughout the day.
• Interpret and execute state laws and regulations required when delivering medical cannabis.
• Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to complete routine maintenance tasks (changing tires, check and add fluids, etc).
• Manage documents associated with medical cannabis delivery, ensuring that proper documents are kept and manifests are returned completed and ready for filing.
• Maintaining positive professional relationships with dispensary staff.
• Timely and effective communication when issues arise while making deliveries.
• Maintains accurate daily records of orders fulfilled and deliveries made.
• Performs all duties related to order fulfillment and delivery.
• Conducts audits of all incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School diploma or G.E.D required.
• Previous experience with inventory preferred.
• Must have a clean motor vehicle driving record (minor violations may be considered).
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain/maintain all state-required cannabis badging, which includes a pre-employment background check.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking for long durations.
• Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.

Maryland Pay Range

$19.50 - $19.50 USD
