Job summary

OG&E Energy Corp. seeks a Distribution Service Operator 1 Associate to dispatch and direct operations of substations, lines and feeders. You will analyze outages and coordinate field crews company-wide, serving as a primary contact among crews, customers, and other personnel.

The role is entry-level with standard procedures, requiring a high school diploma or equivalent and may involve non-standard hours, travel, and certification within six months. Safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with relevant utility experience.
• Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical, Power Technology or related field.
• Certification in a related field is acceptable.
• Knowledge of outage management processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch outages and routine service orders company-wide to field personnel.
• Direct crews and coordinate with customers, contractors or other Company personnel.
• Maintain logs, records and reports for assigned work.
• Support 24-hour operation of the Dispatch Control Center (DCC).
